This new radiator will fit a 1949 through and including 1956 Cadillac DeVille. The core size is 18 1/2" tall x 20 1/2" wide and is a 2" thick three row core with the tubes on closer high efficiency centers.  Because this radiator is a high efficiency 3 row core, it will cool better than the standard 3 row style core that the car was built with.This will provide the cooling of a regular 4 row style core without the added thickness of a four row core.
  The top tank is similarly shaped to the original top tank but has the addition of some ribs to strengthen it.  This radiator is made to exceed the performance of the original radiator and fit the vehicle properly. If you require exact appearance then we would have to recore your original radiator.

The top hose connection is 1 3/4" diameter and is centered on the tank. The lower neck is 1 3/4" diameter on the driver side and is curved upwards.
 The only difference between a 49/52 and a 53/56 Cadillac radiator is the position of the drain plug. A 49-52 has the drainplug on the passenger side facing the engine and a 53-56 has the drain plug on the driver side facing the front splashpan. We build the radiator with two drain flanges so that you can put the drain plug in either location.
This radiator does have an automatic transmission cooler in case you have installed a later transmission or want additional cooling for your original transmission.
The Hollander interchange number is #552. This radiator  will replace radiators with the OEM #'s 3131388, 3132357, 3132070 and 3133709 as long as the drainplug position is taken into account.
